Sannyasis

In Hinduism, the color orange (specifically saffron) represents renunciation and the quest for spiritual enlightenment. Sannyasis (renunciants) and various ascetics often wear saffron robes as a symbol of their commitment to a life of spiritual discipline. In Buddhism, particularly in the Theravada tradition, monks also wear orange or saffron robes. The color symbolizes simplicity and detachment from materialism, reflecting their dedication to the monastic life and spiritual practice.

\nAs I transition to an art career, I am reminded of the need to live a simpler life, guided by the disciplines that nurture my spiritual life, where materialism does not dominate my days.  This piece invited me into more gratitude, fullness of heart, and contentment with the abundance I already live in.
