Gauchos are skilled horsemen who traditionally work on estancias (large ranches) in the pampas grasslands. They have a rich cultural heritage and are known for their distinctive attire, which includes wide-brimmed hats, bombachas (baggy trousers), and boleadoras (a throwing weapon). Like cowboys, gauchos are responsible for herding and tending to cattle, as well as other aspects of ranching life.

\nModern-day cowboys can still be found in various regions around the world where ranching and cattle herding are prevalent. In the United States, they continue to work on cattle ranches across states like Texas, Wyoming, Montana, and others in the western and southwestern regions. Additionally, countries such as Australia, Argentina, Brazil, and Canada also have their own versions of cowboys, known by different names, who work on ranches and stations, tending to livestock and maintaining rural traditions.
