Beyond The Spear

I was inspired by the movie "End of the Spear".  As missionaries attempted to establish connection with an unreached group of natives in Ecuador, they were killed.  However, that painful start has unchained a beautiful story of true connection, followed by generations of collaboration and transformation for good.

\nDespite challenges from deforestation and outside contact, the Huaorani maintain their rich cultural heritage through storytelling, rituals, and traditional games, passed down through generations. Their lifestyle, deeply intertwined with the rainforest, contributes to their remarkable longevity, with many elders boasting a wealth of knowledge and experience gained from living in harmony with the Amazon for centuries. As stewards of their ancestral lands, the Huaorani strive to preserve their unique identity and protect the environment upon which their livelihoods depend.
