What does it mean to be "American"? What do we define as beautiful? Every culture has icons of beauty. Many people groups have distinctive genetic traits that make them visibly distinguishable. Other people groups are more blended, like here in the United States. I imagine this woman could be many different ethnicities, a blend of the old world and the new world, a unique kind of beauty.
